Why Shouldn’t the Spectators Be Allowed to Risk Concussions?

I watched the most consecutive golf I ever have yesterday (40 seconds), and I thought that a good way to spice things up would be to force greater spectator awareness.  A real golfer will hit the occasional errant ball that poses a rik to viewers.  But people like me, who don’t really play but occasionally drive balls with no attention to aim, would really keep the fairway-liners on their toes.  Better yet, have three or four of us hit our balls simultaneously, so no one ever really knows what is going to happen.

I would volunteer my services in pioneering such an event, but I’m currently preoccupied in the lab trying to figure out how to play tennis with bowling balls.
